From the airport the distance to central Athens is 30 km. The access to Plaka hotel is very simple.
By Metro train:
There is a direct line to Monastiraki Station. The journey is about 30 minutes. It operates from 05:50 - 24:30. A single fare costs EUR 6 (2008). When you get out of the station, you should walk on Mitropoleos street. You will see Plaka hotel two blocks up on your left.
By Bus:
There is a direct route to Syntagma Square on the E95. A single fare costs 3 euro (2008). From Syntagma square you have to walk down Mitropoleos Street, for few minutes. After the Cathedral you will see Plaka hotel just in front of you.
By Taxi:
The journey is approximately 30 to 45 minutes. The cost is about 25 to 30 euro, with an extra charge during the evening.
