This big international-style resort is situated in a 6,5 hectare palm grove and fronted by a magnificent stretch of coastline on Zanzibar’s beautiful northeast coast. The beautiful gardens have been landscaped using indigenous trees and plants to attract the various bird species on the island. Ocean Paradise Resort has the largest and most impressive swimming pool in Zanzibar. It reminds us of an enticing tropical lagoon and is situated just metres from the shoreline. You can lie around on the plentiful sun loungers and order exotic cocktails from the bar. As you’d expect this hotel also has a fully-equipped water sports and fitness centre as well as a host of fun activities to keep you happy, healthy and active on your holiday.

This pavilion-style resort offers 100 stylish thatched rooms which are set in landscaped gardens sloping down to the beach. Expansive stone terraces, magnificent viewing decks, calming waterfalls and dreamy infinity pools add to the charm.

The rooms

Luxurious rooms are situated in innovatively designed circular-shaped bungalows in the lush tropical gardens. Some are set on a rise on the escarpment while others are closer to the beach. They have wrap-around balconies and large bathrooms with delightful walk-in showers painted in earthy tones.

Using local textiles and materials, the rooms subtly reflect the traditional styles of East Africa. All rooms are well appointed with all modern conveniences as well as satellite television and radio. There are 100 bungalows divided into 84 Superior Rooms and 8 Junior Suites (with spacious living rooms). There are single and double bungalows.
