Kuredu Island Resort

... is located in Lhaviyani Atoll, an area famous for its abundant fish life. A paradise dream in real life, with more than 3 km of white beaches and aquamarine lagoons. Kuredu is situated on the northern reef of the Lhaviyani Atoll, 80 miles north of the international Airport 'Hulhule', 40 minutes by seaplane from the airport. Exotic, thatched bungalows and spacious villas accommodate our guests. Bungalows and Villas line the white sand beach, while Sangu Sunset Water Villas are built on columns over the lagoon. Our guests choose from 2 resorts and 4 catagories of rooms. On the western end of the island the magnificent Sangu Resort with exclusive Bar, Restaurant and Reception offers the fabulous Sangu Sunset Water Villas.
Garden Bungalows - Located amidst tastefully landscaped garden just behind the ‘O’ Beach Villas in the north eastern part of the island, the Garden Bungalows are the same as our Beach Bungalows in design and facilities offered. They are just a few steps away from the beach. Garden Bungalows could be booked for families in all age groups and Bonthi is the main restaurant for all their meals.

Whereas Kuredu Island Resort offers the cozy and comfortable Beach Bungalows and the beautiful Beach Villas.

For the convenience of our guests we have several restaurants, bars and shops in Kuredu; a well assorted souvenir and gift shop, a Jewellery shop, a one hour photo processing shop, a dive- and snorkel equipment shop and a Golf Pro shop.
Kuredu in addition has the single largest dive centre in the Maldives with a separate snorkeling centre, largest water sports facility, largest spa facility, state of the art indoor gymnasium, only gold club of Maldives, tennis court, badminton court, beach volleyball, two swimming pools in addition to a separate kids swimming pool, evening entertainments, etc.

Maldives Diving - Best in the World
* Daily boat trips twice a day, Mon.-Sun.
* Boat excursions as full day -, early morning-, lunch- & night dives are done regularly.
* Independent diving is available at the house reef and night dives can be done every night.
* The daily boat-trips, to more than 40 different dive sites, take between 10 and 60 minutes one way. There are never two boats at the same dive site at the same time and we try to have a maximum of 10 - 14 divers on each boat.
* There is a large variety of dive sites to choose from. Kuredu ProDivers offers calm diving and diving in currents, channel crossings, caves and wall diving. As the only island in the Maldives, we have a dive site with 2 wonderful wrecks. A third wreck is conveniently located on our house reef.
* Diving in the Lhaviyani Atoll is considered my many as the best diving in the world with Kuredu Express as one of the best dive sites in the world.

Believe it or not golf has finally arrived in the Maldives!!

Kuredu Golf Club is the first of its kind in the Maldives. The Golf course is located on the eastern portion of the Island, surrounded by natural forest and the noise of the ocean. There could be no where more peaceful for the game of golf.

The Golf Club boasts a full size driving range with the option of a shaded area and also hitting from the grass. A large putting green is also available to perfect the short game.

The golf course is a 6-hole Par 3 course with the average length of a hole being 55 yards. With some great characteristics on the golf course it proves to be a fun and ”sometimes” a challenging experience. The Kuredu Golf Club is a perfect setting not only to begin golf but a basic understanding of the game is necessary.

The Golf Club also provides a bar where you can simply relax with a cool drink or catch up on the latest news and from around the world.

Our Head Pro, PGA qualified golf professional is available for tuition on all aspects of the game. All equipment is provided for rental free of charge from the Pro´s Shop, where all bookings can be made. Any teaching course can be set up to suit the individual or group.

As the largest Watersports centre in the Maldives, we offer a wide range of activities to suit every interest and level of experience. Whether you have never tried it before, or you are an old pro at the sport, come and have some fun and thrills with us!

If you are looking for power and speed….why not try wakeboarding or kitesurfing.
If you are looking for something a little less strenuous, why not try Parasailing or Windsurfing?

PARASAILING: The easiest and least strenuous activity on offer, but by far one of the most unique ways to spend your afternoon! Let us whisk you up into the clear blue skies over Kuredu to enjoy the stunning views of the reefs and islands from a birds-eye view!

BANANA & BLAST RIDES: Appropriately named, these sports are fast and exciting to say the least! Challenge your partner to a ride or two and see which of you can manage to hang on the longest as we whip you around the beautiful clear waters! A giggle for all the friends and family!

SPEED BOAT EXCURSIONS: Whether you want to see dolphins, go snorkeling and view the fantastic marine life, or combine the two while taking a trip around the atoll for the day, we can design a fantastic trip for you and your partner to enjoy together! A perfect surprise for your loved one on a special occasion or anniversary!

PEDALOS & CANOES: A more leisurley way to enjoy an afternoon in paradise! Why not take your snorkeling gear, canoe or pedal out to the house reef and hop into the crystal clear waters whenever you feel like it, jumping back on when you want a rest! Not so happy in the water, but have a partner crazy about snorkeling?

This is a great way to spend your time together, why not stay on the Pedalo and catch some rays while your other half snorkels along side?

WATERSKI/WAKEBOARDING: Available for beginners or people with more experience, this sport is fast and exciting! Those who have tried it before will remember the first time they ever stood up and how exilerated they felt. Don’t let being new to the sport put you off, it’s not as difficult as it looks, but it is as fun as it looks!

Bonthi Restaurant is located within the signature building of Kuredu in the centre of the island and it is the main restaurant for the guests in Beach Bungalows and Garden Bungalows for all their meals. Bonthi serves international and local cuisine on rotating theme nights chosen from around the world. Bonthi being located in the main area, does not have any age restrictions.

Koamas Restaurant is also situated in the renovated signature building of Kuredu, serving international & local buffets with show cooking for breakfast, lunch and dinner for all guests in villas on the southern coast of the island comprising of some Beach Villas, and Jacuzzi Beach Villas. Being located in the main part of the island, Komas is also the main restaurant for families with children below 12 years of age.

Sangu Restaurant is the allocated Restaurant for the guests in the Sunset Water Villas. Due to the popular requests of our guests, this restaurant does not accept table reservations for guests below 12 years of age.

‘O’ Restaurant with deck spreading over the water on the eastern end of the island has an ambience of being one with nature. This is the allocated restaurant for the new Beach Villas on the north eastern part of the island. The ‘O’ Resort restricts admission to all it’s facilities only to guests above 12 years of age.

The Sangu, ‘O’ & Koamas serve wide buffets with show cooking for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Guests in the Sunset Water Villas, Jacuzzi Beach Villas and Beach Villas can also eat in main restaurants other than their allocated restaurant if they choose to with a prior table reservation subject to above mentioned age restrictions.
